DOMENICO GUIDI

Domenico Guidi (1625 – 1701) was one of the great interpreters of Baroque sculpture.

In Rome you can see his works at St. Agnes in Agone, where he made the relief representing the Holy Family; in Santa Maria della Vittoria: the Dream of St. Joseph; in the church of Jesus and Mary: the tomb of Camillo del Corno.

In the Falconieri Chapel, at San Giovanni dei Fiorentini, the Charity; in the Museum of Rome at Palazzo Braschi the busts of Pope Innocent XII and Cardinal Ottoboni, who became Pope Alexander VIII, in the niches of the façade of Sant'Andrea della Valle: San Sebastian and San Gaetano and in St. Augustine the memorial of Cardinal Lorenzo Imperiali.
