TRAJAN RELIEF

The relief represents a war scenery whose central feature is the Roman horse attack.

This work is so remarkable becouse of its immediate, intense, cruel expressivity.

Probably the relief stayed on the top of the Basilica Ulpia (Ulpius Trajanus), sure it came from the Trajan forum, therefore the relief had a political significance.
