GIORGIO VASARI

Giorgio Vasari (1511 – 1574), is best known for having written the "Lives of the Most Excellent Italian Painters, Sculptors and Architects, from Cimabue to our times", whose last edition was published in 1568.

In Rome he painted in St. Pietro in Montorio the Conversion of St. Paul, but his most famous Roman work is “the Hall of the Hundred Days”, in the Palace of the Chancellery.
