SODOMA
Giovanni Bazzi named Sodoma (1477 - 1549), born in Vercelli, in 1501 moved to Siena.
The great Sienese Agostino Chigi brought him to Rome, where in 1508 with his friend Raphael frescoed the vault of the Room of the Segnatura and the scene with the portray of Giustinano in the wall of the Vitues.

The same Raphael portrayed him next to him in the “School of Athens”.
For Agostino Chigi, in the Villa Chigi - Farnesina, painted the master bedroom, where shines the unforgettable Roxane, wife of Alexander the Great, one of the most extraordinary portraits from the Renaissance.

His other works are exhibited in the Borghese Gallery and the Gallery of Palazzo Barberini. Others Roman works are in private collections.
