VAULT

At the center of the vault Baldassarre Peruzzi painted to two large frescoes, difficult to interpret, one of which shows the Fame announcing the glory of Agostino Chigi, while Perseus kills Medusa.

In the other fresco the nymph Helice, one of the nurses of Jupiter, races on the  chariot through the constellations, to symbolize that luck depends on the favor of the stars.

Between the two frescoes inscribed in an octagon, is the coat of arms of Agostino Chigi.
