ANTONIAZZO ROMANO

Antoniazzo Romano (about 1430 - 1510), one of the greatest painters of the Roman Renaissance, was formed at the school of Beato Angelico and had the opportunity to work with Melozzo da Forli.

His works can be seen in Santa Maria sopra Minerva, at Santa Croce in Gerusalemme,

at Sant’Onofrio, in the basilica of the Holy Apostles.

At San Pietro in Montorio an altarpiece is attributed to his workshop.
